to Parents of WFISD

It's not the size or newness of the building, it's what's given to the students from the library and from the class curriculum. Look at the adminstration building today, it's huge. Look at what we had 40-50 years ago. Less than one tenth the size for administration and government compliance, and other overhead.

Whatever you do, parents, please get good books back on the shelves in the libraries, and get the New Elective Class for your children.

The previous superintendent agreed to this New Elective Class back when 2000 plus people were ready to vote for me in the school board election. The then superintendent told me in her office she'd had enough phone calls for it and saw the parent support and the district would provide the New Elective Class. She said if that was all I was running for, I could drop out and they would do it. So I told my key groups how it was, and effectively withdrew.

Well, it didn't happen. Excuses were made, but it did not happen. Dr. Connie Welsh, Superintendent at the time told me later the district just did not have the time to set up a new course.

New Elective Class Advantages:

1. Parents will be invited to evaluate reading materials for the students, and opinions will be tracked.
a. Perhaps this can result in more reading of books with redeeming value.
b. And less books with poisonous attitudes

2. Basics of how to study, learn, review, will be presented with increasing detail at every grade level.

3. Old fashioned dictionaries with detailed meanings would be used and students would learn details about their words.

4. Old fashioned math would be presented, not new math.

5. Historic and foundational ideas of America's government leaders will be presented, with more depth each grade level.

6. Hand writing quality will be required.

7. History will be taught in story form instead of name, date, and serial number.

8. Money and it's history in America will be taught. After all, that's one reason for going to school, not all, but one reason.

9. Old text-books from America's past will be used to great extent such as 1850 Lives of the Signers of the Declaration. This one book alone will teach them things they don't get now in 12 years of public school or most colleges.

There are hundreds of good reasons for this New Elective Class in WFISD to benefit students and families, but you have to take time to inform yourself by reading the links on this site. The school has chosen not to inform you of these facts.

Is a site endorsed by Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman worthy of your time? It is linked for you in the picture of the old administration building. Click here for main index

As recently as President Harry S. Truman, these words were spoken to Americans by a God-fearing President.
The fundamental basis of this nation's law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul.
I don't think we emphasize that enough these days.     If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in the right for anybody except the state.

The state has now taken away many rights that existed sixty years ago when Truman spoke those words.

President Truman had seen the aetheists and communists beginning to reach the Supreme Court and strip away existing practices in America, the teaching of "proper fundamental moral background." That is the historical background of this quote. Parents, if you go to a church on Sunday, you need to know those people who do not want children to believe in God are being a whole lot more active about it than you are. Stand up and do what's right for your child. The "law" enforces child attendance at a state approved school for most of the week. The "law" denies teaching of Christian truth during all that time. You and your children are being fed into an atheistic machine that is changing America. Can you sit still? Can you ignore this? Will you let the people who call Christianity a disease be the ones who decide how and what your child is taught? There is a battle for control in the classroom. It is past time to fight the good fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 Your dollars are paying for the wrong kind of a school. Either fix the school, or send your dollars to a school where your student can hear the words of faith from America's Founding Fathers. The difference is not only a better life now, but also eternal.
