I ran for schoolboard at large position based on this class, and when over 2000 parents were in favor of such a class, and some phone calls began coming in requesting the class the superintendent at that time agreed to offer the class, and she told me I didn't need to finish the race for election. So I dropped out of the running. But later, she explained the district just didn't have time to finish the curriculum. So we parents need to go through the process again.

I the undersigned hereby request this New Elective Class for my child in WFISD.
The new class referred to is titled as Mega-History-Dynamics. Please sign my child up for the New Elective Class. I want my child to have this kind of a class available at each grade level through graduation. I want the class to give my child a view of Christian influence on science, law, and government in America and in western civilization. Especially will be covered, a little more in depth each year, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution and their original interpretations by the early Supreme Court and Chief Justices such as John Jay, and Joseph Storey, and even the Jubilee Speech given on the Fifteeth Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by John Quincy Adams, Jr. the fifth president of the United States of America. I want my children to learn the ideas espoused by the early Americans, the ideas that made this nation great. I want my children to see the change from Absolute Law to Evolutionary Law and the changes in law and education in America's time-line. The course will include relative-positivism as explained by the 1952 Encyclopedia Britannica. It will include absolutes as contrasted to "I'm OK, You're OK new style moral relativism". It will include the Ten Commandments and other scripture from the Pentateuch as historical legal views of American law. It will also give an over-view of the UCC (Uniform Commerical Code) and the U.N. Charter and how it differs from the United States Constitution.

You have presented them with material on drugs and sex and atheism and socialism and the U.N., but now I want you to present them with material covering the Christian influences in America's history, science, law, and government. I want them to see the teaching materials of early America, the Blue Book Speller, the New England Primer, Noah Webster's First Dictionary of the American Language, and a text book called The Lives of the Signers (of the Declaration of Independence as used in 1849 in America's schools) and The McGuffey Reader series as used in America until it was replaced by the progressive education's time-wasting Dick and Jane series. Suggested books for this New Elective Class include: David Barton's Original Intent, Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary, Blue Book Speller, New England Primer, Bible as history, Hebrew Psalms and Proverbs, Washington's Generals, Brave Men and Great Captains, newspaper articles and speeches from Congress on our monetary system, national banking systems, money and economics as expressed by Abraham Lincoln and others prior to 1914. Also can use the American history books printed prior to 1900.

Selected Bible scripture that deals with learning and understanding are also good for my family and children to learn. Also those original documents of our nation's Founding Fathers which refer to scripture should not be omitted just because of the ideas of a few opposed. My children should be allowed to learn the Founding Father's ideas on law and school and the nation.

Reading and writing skills will be emphasized in these elective classes. Arithmetic and mathematics can be reinforced in these classes. This class will also teach the old fashioned way of study and review, as well as basic tenets of reading improvement for rate of reading (words per minute), comprehension, and retention. I expect my child to be able to read above 150 words per minute, hopefully more than twice as fast.
