Rotten Stinking Fruit
Samples of rotten, stinking fruit in public schools are shown by the teachers who say
- Teacher who says to the parent, "You don't understand, ... The important thing is not that your child know how to read but that he be happy."
- Teacher who says, "It doesn't matter what they read,.... just that they read."
- Teacher who says, "The First Amendment has always been the same."
- An approximate understanding of the meaning of the words is good enough."
- The teacher who says, "America has never been a Christian nation."
- The teacher who says, "Memorize these answers to the TASS test."
- Phonics?!, Why that's old fashioned. We use whole language visual approximation now."
- A skinny dictionary is all your child needs.
- The teachers who allow a student to pass two years of algebra who can't solve D=R*T for R.
- The system that allows a student to graduate high school who can't read, write, or spell.
People who guide the education system believes "they know how to raise your child better than you."
They have to get "equal" results, so they bring everything down to the lowest common denominator.
They see themselves as funded by the state and federal level so they only superficialy respond to parents.
They accept psychology (whatever the newest fad) as superior to and a replacement for the living word of God.
At the graduate school research level, they accept more guidance from the UNESCO World Plan for Education than
they do from America's Founding Fathers and America's First Schoolmaster, Noah Webster.
The results are: America now scores at the bottom of world tests for math and science.
Industry leaders know the graduates of high schools do not have the skills they should.
And we parents keep getting told by the system, essentially that every day in every way things are getting better and better,
the old chant from the 1930's of positive thinking instead of godly thinking.
Which do you want for your child? New experiments that have failed for 70 years or what works right for your child.

As recently as President Harry S. Truman,
these words were spoken to Americans by a God-fearing President.
The fundamental basis of this nation's law was given to Moses on the Mount.
The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul.
I don't think we emphasize that enough these days.
If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background,
we will finally end up with a totalitarian government
which does not believe in the right for anybody except the state.
The state has now taken away many rights that existed sixty years ago
when Truman spoke those words.
