Love of the Truth in WFISD
Please vote YES for A NEW ELECTIVE CLASS with foundational teaching. The students and children have been robbed
of what was taken for granted during World War II when our grandfathers fought to keep this nation free.
Vote yes for a New Elective Class by saying No on the new bond until the school offers the New Elective Class
at every grade from K-12, enriching it at each level.
There are many conflicts in the education system. Local parents rarely get informed on the national scale and it affects
what your child sees or does not see in the text-books. This is your time to get informed on your options for your child
in your school.
- Starting with the fundamental conflict over learning to read by exact definition or by "whole language approximation".
- Extending to "new math" (not good) or traditional methods of teaching math (good). References available on all.
- Saturated over all with the vast difference between focused and deep learning or "shallow osmotic learning" for all subjects.
- Particulary evident in the failure to teach, even the omission of , historical American law, government foundations.
- Do you want the School to work program or would you prefer a school to learn program? Do you know the difference?
The significance and impact of this class will be greater than the change in the 1930's from McGuffey's Readers to Dick and Jane,
only in reverse. If you don't know what that means please ask.
The teacher should be enabled to inspire the child or student to desire to learn, to know, and to understand.
Anything less is mechanical and testable for a grade, but not nearly as fruitful.
The New Elective Class would give traditional teaching for one semester at each grade level.
Using age-old proven methods to teach words, reading, math, history and science and literature.
The results will be seen as those students do even better in all their other courses.
Yes, this class will admit to the students, through the presentation of historical documents
the ideas of great men and women who believed in God and this class will also admit to students
for the first time in 50 years what the Christian foundations of America were in our law and government.
The school has been asked to give this information to parents and offer a class like this since the days of Dr. Carnine
in 1992. So it seems the only way to restore what informed parents want is Vote Yes for this class and information
to the parents by a vote of no more new building money until we repair what's in the curriculum with full parent awarenesss.

This would be an elective class, taken only by those students who want it; and I guarantee you it will
help them substantially with other classes they may take, and in life after graduation from high school.

As recently as President Harry S. Truman,
these words were spoken to Americans by a God-fearing President.
The fundamental basis of this nation's law was given to Moses on the Mount.
The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul.
I don't think we emphasize that enough these days.
If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background,
we will finally end up with a totalitarian government
which does not believe in the right for anybody except the state.
The state has now taken away many rights that existed sixty years ago
when Truman spoke those words.
President Truman had seen the aetheists and communists beginning to reach the Supreme Court and strip away existing practices
in America, the teaching of "proper fundamental moral background." That is the historical background of this quote.
Parents, if you go to a church on Sunday, you need to know those people who do not want children to believe in God
are being a whole lot more active about it than you are. Stand up and do what's right for your child.
The "law" enforces child attendance at a state approved school for most of the week. The "law" denies teaching of Christian truth during
all that time. You and your children are being fed into an atheistic machine. Can you sit still? Can you ignore this?
Will you let the people who call Christianity a disease be the ones who decide how and what your child is taught?
There is a battle for control in the classroom. It is past time to fight the good fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12
Your dollars are paying for the wrong kind of a school. Either fix the school, or send your dollars to a school where your student
can hear the words of faith from America's Founding Fathers. The difference is not only a better life now, but also eternal.
